Dana and Jacob celebrated their wedding at The Royal Adelaide Golf Club, a venue that felt perfectly suited to them — especially for Jacob, being a huge fan of golf. Their story went all the way back to Year 8 at Ardrossan Area School, where they first met after Dana moved from the city. It wasn’t love at first sight, but over time their connection grew, and they have been inseparable ever since.
Their vision for the day was timeless and thoughtful, with details chosen to feel meaningful rather than trendy. Jacob wore his grandfather’s cufflinks, a sentimental tribute that added depth to the day. A surprise string duo played during the ceremony and cocktail hour, a quiet nod to Dana’s mum, who had a string quartet at her own wedding. The dining room views, with floor-to-ceiling windows, set the scene beautifully as everything came together at the reception.
Food and drink were a highlight, starting with antipasto platters during cocktail hour, followed by an alternate drop of chicken and beef fillet that quickly became a favourite. Guests enjoyed a relaxed drinks selection, including Dana’s much-loved Aperol spritz, before cake from Blossom Bar Cakery made its way around. Every part of the day reflected Dana and Jacob’s personalities, creating a celebration that felt genuine, personal, and shared with the people who mattered most.
